You will be using your skills and expertise to define, design, develop, test, certify and improve cutting-edge software products. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout our development process. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle.
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related engineering field. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and build new software
Modify existing software (C++, Java, Rust) to correct deficiencies and add enhancements
Ensure software standards are met
Work with Systems Engineering team to test and verify requirements
May act as software lead for smaller projects
Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
Fluency in object oriented languages like C++ and Java
Experience working in Linux environments and scripting languages such as Bash
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
Familiar with software testing best practices
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred:
Experience with service-oriented APIs and message passing
Experience with Git and CMake
Experience with software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build
Experience with designing & developing software that interacts with hardware
Proficient with data structures
Strong mathematical fundamentals, including linear algebra and numerical methods
Knowledge of Networking Concepts

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
