Sierra Nevada Corporation International Trade Compliance Analyst III (Hybrid Eligible) in Arlington, Virginia

As an International Trade Compliance Analyst III, you'll be using your skills and expertise to support our comprehensive export and import compliance program, ensuring conformity with US trade regulations, managing export and import authorizations, and contributing to technology release initiatives. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and build key relationships with appropriate government regulatory agencies as you facilitate compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), the Export Controls Act (ECA), US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), US Customs regulations and relevant foreign customs regulations.

At SNC’s Washington, D.C. office we are responsible for government affairs, international strategy, international business, and trade and regulatory compliance. We provide strategic guidance across the organization, helping to find alignment and compliance between SNC and the national security priorities of the U.S. government.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

This role is open to a hybrid schedule

Responsibilities:

  • Manage ITAR and EAR export authorizations for customer and supplier relationships

  • Draft, submit, and manage compliance with ITAR licenses and agreements and EAR license and license exceptions

  • Conduct technical data reviews as related to U.S. export laws

  • Support jurisdiction and classification exercises and determinations

  • Manage compliance procedures related to U.S. export laws and identify and implement compliance improvements

  • Advise, educate, and train internal stakeholders on matters related to U.S. export laws, including use of ITAR and EAR authorizations, execution of export policies and procedures, and technology controls

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience •Higher education may substitute for relevant experience •Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Able to effectively and clearly communicate complex regulatory requirements and solutions ITAR, EAR, FTR

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting federal rules and regulations

  • Experience in managing ITAR and EAR export authorizations, exemptions, and exceptions for customer and supplier relationships

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. export laws and regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and FTR

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other data analytics tools

Preferred:

  • Proficient knowledge of ITAR & EAR concepts

  • Thorough understanding of customs processes and compliance

  • Advanced knowledge of OCR EASE, DTRADE/DECCS, SNAP-R, Customs ACE

  • Experience conducting export control classifications and jurisdiction reviews

  • Experience working with DDTC, BIS, DTSA or other government agencies is a plus

  • Experience with Electronic Warfare, ELINT, and SIGINT products is a plus
